In the Telkom Do Gaming Gears of War 3 Cup, two teams of five players fight to whittle down each other's pool of available respawns. Each match will see teams fight it out using the Execution, King of the hill and Team deathmatch game modes.

The first two weeks of the cup will see teams divided into equally seeded groups. The highest scoring teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage where they will clash head on in an all or nothing cup where teams who lose two matches are bumped from the event.

The Do Gaming League is hosting a Gears of War 3 Cup in order to better gauge if there is enough interest to warrant further investment into the competitive Gears of War communities.

The cup also offers us a prime opportunity to develop the rulesets and infrastructure needed to host a long term league.

As this cup is being used for evaluation, we ask players and their communities to be understanding and patient with us while we learn and improve our Gears of War competitions.
